About this brand:

Canon
“Advanced Simplicity”

Canon specializes in the manufacturing of imaging and optical products including cameras, camcorders, photocopiers, and computer printers. As the need for printers continues to grow, Canon is able to supply businesses and homes with high performance inkjet and laser printers as well as the ink and toner cartridges that work with them. Since today’s printer users are about high resolution and “in home” photo labs, Canon is there with printers and copiers to do just that.

Top quality toners and inks along with technologically advanced printers are the key to producing great prints. Canon printers are supplied with Canon Advanced Printing Technology (CAPT), a printer driver software that the company claims uses data compression to reduce a printer’s memory requirement. When compared to other laser printers, Canon claims that CAPT printers increase print speeds for high resolution graphics.

Canon offers a variety of printer series, at various prices, to help with your printing needs. The BJ Series, a series of bubble jet printers, consists of BJ and BJC printers. Canon followed the bubble jet printers with the i series, the SmarBase series, the MultiPASS series, the PIXMA series, and the S series. Each of these series of printers provides a different set of features and is meant to be used in different environments (home, office, etc).

Canon continues to seek new and innovative ways to develop printers and printer cartridges. Their latest advances have come with the release of their latest line of black and color ink tanks. When you run out of a certain color of printer ink, you only have to replace the ink tank for that color (not an entire cartridge that contains all the colors). The ink tanks also have micro chips on them to facilitate better communication between the printer and the cartridge. This means better prints for you!
