In April of 2000, we launched Pacific Ink.com with the goal of providing customers with a service orientated approach to printer cartridge shopping. Back then, people were already complaining about the high cost of printer cartridges and how hard it was to keep track of the cartridges they needed. Our product offering and web site were developed to address these concerns.

In order to help the “cost conscious” printer cartridge users we began offering remanufactured and compatible brand cartridges. While not made by the same company that makes your printer, these two different types of cartridges offer a 30% – 50% savings on what you pay for the printer manufacturer’s brand of cartridges. While customers liked the price of these cartridges, they had questions about quality. Would they print the same as a manufacturer brand cartridge? We knew they would, and to convey our confidence to the customer we came up with our 365 day return policy and 100% satisfaction guarantee. Once cartridge users saw we were willing to stand behind our cartridges, they didn’t hesitate to try them out. All these years later we still have the same return and satisfaction guarantee policies.

Back in 2000 we offered 50 different printer cartridge products. Today we offer more than 5,000. The frustration created by trying to keep track of which cartridges you need for your printer has only increased over the years. Our goal was, and still is, to make Pacific Ink.com like your local auto parts store. Walk in to any auto parts store and all you have to do is to tell them what year, make, and model of car you have. Once they know that they can give you a list of any parts that work with your car. Our website should work the same way. You tell us what printer you have and we’ll tell you all the cartridges that work for that printer. Within the last few years we’ve added features that allow you to store your printer models right on the website. Keeping track of the cartridges you need just keeps getting easier!
